x-2=-3 x-2=3
x=-1 or x=5
I think, but not sure and this seems way to late to type this. XD

Oh my GOD, you guys have got to help me! It’s part of my extra credit sheet. e.e
A number can be expressed as the product of powers of prime numbers (e.g. 75 = 3 x 5squared).
Express (a) 36 and (b) 90 as products of powers of prime numbers.

i have no idea what you just said. But I can try to understand.
If these are like, the ones I think they are, then 36 is 2squared and threesquared. And ninety is three squared two and five.

I have to make a ‘cell city’ by assigning different organelles to different parts of a city. I’m stuck on what to do! D:
This is what I have so far:
Nucleus: City Hall
Cell membrane: Stream
Cell wall: Forest
Golgi body: UPS
Mitochondria: Solar panels/wind turbines
Lysosome: Trashmen
Cytoplasm: Roads
Stuck on:
Ribosome
Endoplasmic reticulum

Ribosome sounds like something with ribs.
Rib shop?
January 30, 2012 at 4:13 AM
No, no. Supply shop, the ribosome supplys amino acids to the body!

Which wave property is the same for all electromagnetic waves in a vacuum?
F speed
G pitch
H wavelength
J amplitude
The greatest earthquake damage happens at the
F focus
G boundary between tectonic plates
H epicenter
J seismograph station
(is it focus or epicenter…?)
Which of the following types of tissue is not present in humans and other animals?
A connective tissue
B nerve tissue
C protective tissue
D ground tissue
(I’m confused by this because C and D tissues are tissues in plants while A and B tissues are in humans…?)
Plants contain three types of tissue, each performing a specific function. THese types of tissue are
F transport tissue, protective tissue, and ground tissue
G roots, leaves, and stem
H chloroplasts, membranes, and cytoplasm
J connective tissue, protective tissue, and growth tissue
(I keep leaning towards G, but I feel like those are organs, not tissue…?)
The distance between any two adjacent crests or compressions in a series of waves is called
A wavelength
B amplitude
C frequency
D speed
(Okay, so I’ll admit I barely paid attention when we learned about waves and plants…^^;)

The last one is A, I think… But I know nothing, I’m stupid.

Right. Well.
If any of you speak fluent French, tell me and I’ll hail you.

Yo no hablo frances, pero (or is it sino? The usage of both confounds me!) hablo poco espanol! Mis disculpas. Gen e dien dien zong wen. Except I don’t know if I transcribed the Pinyin down correctly!!
Well, either way, French is an admirable language, so it’s pretty neat you’re learning it!

I’ve done this question but I wanted to check with you guys. Last math homework question for the year!
Okay, so, translated from French, this is the question:
Lisa does four tests and her average score is 85. When she does another test, her new average score is 86. What was Lisa’s result in her fifth test?
I got 90.
What I did was calculate the sum of the scores when her average was 85 (which was 340), and then calculate the sum of the scores when her average was 86 (which was 430). And then 430 – 340 = 90.
I just need someone to confirm this. (:
February 3, 2013 at 7:56 PM
I got 89, waaah! I’m going to totally assume you’re right though!
February 3, 2013 at 7:57 PM
Wait, I misread that as 3 tests with an 85 average, not 4! Yes, I think 90 is correct! I wouldn’t take my word for it, though!
February 3, 2013 at 12:05 PM
ok… what is 45 divided by 8
February 3, 2013 at 12:12 PM
5.625!
40 / 8 = 5, so we know that 5 is the whole number. I can’t do 5 / 8 mentally, so if you turn that into 5000, the nearest divisible number by 8 with a 5 in front with 0s, you get 5000 / 8 = 625. Moving the decimal 3 spaces just like the number of zeroes gets you to 0.625. 8) So, total, 5.625.
That’s only with mental math, though, I’m sure with a calculator it’s much faster! I only know that 5000 / 8 is 625 because I used quiz myself with the thousands numbers ^^;
